WHAT'S MY LINE?
THE WHISTLER
THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939)

What is a section dedicated to old radio shows doing on a website devoted to old movies?

Because a lot of old movies either originated as series on radio or spawned new radio shows.

And even when television was being developed in the roaring twenties[1], most people depended on entertainment and information by way of radios and newspapers.

Radio shows have held up a lot better than newspapers on the whole.

Doubt the Old Movie Maven?!  Especially since she remembers when SHE got hooked on them during a radio craze back when she was graduating from high school and starting college.

Find out for yourself!
NOTE:  There may be some overlap since there can be several sources that Maven uses in compiling these shows.

You can check out these series right here at www.theoldmoviemaven.com!
